Stress within a word: How “content” can be different from “content”

For an assignment in a class called “Pronunciation and Intonation 2”, I made a video about how stress placement in a word can change the meaning of the word entirely.

Process

I started my research for the topic by investigating a statement about word stresses from a book that was used as a resource for this particular class.

To do this, I consulted online dictionaries for the accurate pronunciations of a list of words that were used as examples in the book (this list of words became my examples in the video).

I then presented the information that I had acquired in a format that I thought was most appropriate for a video.

My Remark(s)

At this point, I was more used to creating audio-visual content about English pronunciation. However, I still found it challenging to pack certain parts of the information I wanted to get across, such as how the word stresses can be written to highlight the stressed parts.
